Obituary of Shirley A. Cromwell Smith

Shirley A. Cromwell Smith 89, of Youngstown, NY wife of the late Myles “Bud” Smith entered into rest Saturday March 2, 2019 at South Buffalo Mercy Hospital.

Born in Niagara Falls, NY on March 22, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and the late Lucy Carpenter Tower.

 

Shirley was the Youngstown Village Clerk retiring after 31 years, also working for the Town of Porter for 23 years. Shirley was active at the 1st Presbyterian Church of Youngstown for many years, also was a member of the Youngstown garden club and the Senior Citizens. She was an avid animal love and will be dearly missed by many.

 

 

Surviving are her children Carol Wojtko of Myrtle Beach, SC and Kenneth Cromwell of Thornton, CO. Also surviving is her sister Lois Stockwell of North Tonawanda; 3 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and many friends.

 

Funeral services will be held on FRIDAY June 7th at  1:00 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville, NY 14131, interment to follow in Oakland Rural Cemetery.
