Obituary of Judith M. Rhue
Please share a memory of Judith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Judith M. Rhue on Monday, December 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Brookdale Assisted Living Facility in North Tonawanda. She was 85 years old.
Judith, affectionately known as Judy, was born on July 19, 1939, in Buffalo, New York, to the late John and Jean (née Wienwich) Schuler. She was a proud graduate of McKinley High School, class of 1956, in Buffalo, New York.
On August 17, 1957, Judy married the love of her life, Clair R. Rhue, at Central Presbyterian Church in Buffalo, New York. Their enduring love was the foundation of a beautiful life together in Ransomville, where they raised their cherished family. Judy dedicated over 20 years of service to the Ransomville Post Office as a postal clerk.
In her retirement, Judy found joy in traveling the world, baking, crafting, gardening, and, most importantly, spending quality time with her family. Her warmth, creativity, and love for life touched everyone who knew her. Judy will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her generous spirit, love for her family, and the many wonderful memories she leaves behind.
Besides her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clair; her caring daughter, Jennifer Rhue; and her dear brothers, Michael and Ronald, and her beloved grand fur baby, Gabriella.
She is survived by her loving children, Cheri L. (Gregory) Surniak and Richard Rhue; her cherished grandson, Jason Surniak; her adored great-grandsons, Andrew, Robert C. III, and Daniel; and caring brother, Jeffrey (Debbie) Schuler.
Arrangements are entrusted to Hardison Funeral Homes, Inc. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
