Lil was a great gal and also a great friend to Scouting. We had many good times together.
When many younger leaders were leaving the active part of Scouting...Lil kept on...she was such a fun person to be with.
Sincere sympathy to her family.

Dear Jackie,Janine,Jay,& Jon
What a perfect picture capturing your mom's warm, friendly & understanding smile!! What an AMAZING PERSON !! She truely reached out to others - I can contest to that! Don't know where I would be now without her keeping of the streets of "downtown Ransomville" while my mom worked those crazy hours trying to make ends meet -esp. at the Tradewinds Restaurant!! I have a picture of her with us laughing our hearts out at one of our Christmas parties (after hours) What fun!
Not to mention, she was my scout leader thru Brownies, then ALWAYS saw her at the different G.S. Camps - but then again as a Senior Scout -when she took us to FLORIDA, WASHINGTON,DC & NYC (my 1st experiences out of state) AND SHE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE HER DRIVER'S LICENCE!! SO SMART AND OH SO THRIFTY!!
I can't close without mentioning those Sunday Morning station-wagon 'PILE INS" TO CHURCH (before seatbelt laws)!!! I can remember looking up at Jackie & Janine like two more older "sisters" as they helped mom do such beautiful Girl Scout Ceremonies (the Brownie Fairy Pond, saying goodbye to the Senior Scouts graduating, etc)
Then Jay - well what a GREAT FRIEND you were to my brother all thru high school - the "Lantern Boys" and God only know what else! Jon, well you were always quiet - but always so kind - Always had your mom's smile for me!
WHAT A WONDERFUL FAMILY!!
HOW BLESSED YOU ARE TO HAVE HAD SUCH A WONDERFUL MOM!!
Let's grab onto the wonderful memories Lillian created but mostly(as she would like) - Hang onto all those lessons learned.
It was just not possible for any of us to attend today- we are so sorry. Thankfully Mrs Doty brought us a copy of the service program - It looks like it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! GREAT JOB-KIDS(ha)
I"m sure your mom was smiling oh-so-sweetly down on all of you today (grandkids too)!!
Don't be afraid to look us up sometime! GOD BLESS YOU ALL

My heartfelt condolence to Lil's family. I was honored to know Lil and doubly honored to work with her for NCCGS. She was a sweet, honest, dedicated, ethicaland very sincere gracious LADY! She will be rememberd with fondness and greatly missed. But then, she is in Heaven and probably forming a Girl Scout troop and planning a nature hike!

Janine, Jackie, Jay, Jon,
just heard the news today of Mom fryer's passing! Wow!!!...what memories!!! Especially one night when she met me on the sidewalk wielding a broom to chase me away because of bringing her daughter home too late 9in her estimation).
She was an incredibly gracious woman, and you can underline "incredibly" about 10 times and one of the hardest working women I've ever met.
She's left all 4 of you an incredible legacy and I know none of you will ever forget it!
warmest regards,
Bill
