Obituary of Howard E. Payne

Howard E. Payne, age 87, formerly of Cedar Ave. in Niagara Falls, NY died Tuesday September 4, 2012 in the Eastern Niagara Hospital Newfane after a long illness. Howard was born March 9, 1925 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Burr and Mary (Flanigan) Payne. He was raised and lived on Ridge Rd. in Ransomville where he worked on his father's farm, Payne Farms, for many years. A devoted son, Howard took care of his ailing father in his waning years. He was a former member of Immaculate Conception RC Church in Ransomville. Howard was a car enthusiast, loved animals, and spending time with his family. Howard is survived by a sister, Marjorie R. (late John) Carlin of Lewiston and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, William, Frank, and Robert Payne. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 pm in the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Badding officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd. Town of Cambria.
